Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
For the crust:
- 200g digestive biscuits (or graham crackers), crushed
- 100g unsalted butter, melted
For the filling:
- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 200ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For garnish (optional):
- Cocoa powder or shaved chocolate
- Fresh berries
Instructions
- Prepare crust:
- Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter until evenly combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch tart pan.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to set.
- Prepare chocolate filling:
- In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and pour over chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Let sit 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
- Stir in butter, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
- Assemble tart:
- Pour chocolate filling over the chilled crust and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Serve:
- Dust with cocoa powder or decorate with shaved chocolate and fresh berries before serving.
